Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH)'s Teen Council is a highly collaborative creative incubator that provides High School students grades 10-12 with opportunities in leadership, visual literacy, and life skill development. During weekly meetings, the Teen Council members are introduced to the inner workings of museums and to the dynamic Houston arts community. This upcoming year 2024-2026 Teen Council will create public programs for their peers and curate an exhibition for CAMH's downstairs gallery. Teen Council is for all types of arts enthusiasts. As we are not an art-making program, you do not need not be an artist to apply.
Once accepted, all Teen Council members become paid employees of CAMH and are required to attend weekly in person after-school meetings from 4:30-6:30PM.
This application will be open from February 16 - March 25, 2024 at 11:59PM. Applicants will be notified of next steps in early April. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and are considered as they arrive.
